Speechify 2022 to now

I joined Speechify as a senior software engineer and stayed a generalist. I've maintained the Chrome extension, which Google picked as one of its favorite extensions of 2023. I made PDF listening start in 250ms instead of 3 to 5 seconds. I set up branch preview environments and the release pipeline, and shipped the first gamification work.

Lately I work on dictation quality: capturing how people edit their transcripts, building evals and gold datasets, and designing the human review loops around them. It turns out "is the model actually getting better?" is a much harder question than it looks.

An AI personal finance project ongoing

My side project. I'm trying to make personal finance require almost no manual bookkeeping, with AI doing the boring parts. Building something of my own has taught me more about distribution, pricing, reliability, and saying no to features than any job has.

Stripe 2021 to 2022

Payments in Southeast Asia. I was the founding engineer for Stripe Indonesia and helped get the payment gateway license from Bank Indonesia. Before that, Singapore: payment method onboarding, a lot of escalated tickets, and learning what high-quality engineering looks like at scale.

Google, Flutter team 2019

I interned on the Flutter team in Seattle and built the Layout Explorer in Dart DevTools, a tool for debugging Flutter layout issues. It shipped in Flutter 1.12 and got announced on stage at Flutter Interact. That internship changed what I believed was possible for myself.
